What better way to use your new Provence inspired Jacquard linens than to serve with Provence style food. A great way to enjoy your table linens and entertain your summer guest is the classic Provencal Pizza –Pissaladière.
In celebration of our Provence In Santa Fe in-store event this weekend we thought we could bring you a simple inspirational recipe that Jean-Philippe’s grandmother use to make for him as a boy. The Pissaladière is a Provencal street food that combines the classic olive, anchovy, thyme and onion all on a crispy tart-like pizza crust. With these simple ingredients this Provencal pizza is easy to prepare and a great entertaining dish.
A mix between sweet and salty with the black olives, anchovies contrasted with the sweetness from the caramelized onions and thyme, you will be pleasantly surprised with the texture of this “pizza” with a thin crust that requires just a few basic ingredients.
Here at Bon Marche it is a dish we love to serve at our French parties. A dish passed on from grandmother to mother and now on to son, owner Jean-Philippe would love to share this special dish with you.
