The Fermob Somerset Armchair extends an invitation to slow down. Designed by Studio Fermob as a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional English park bench, it pairs a teak frame and armrests with a perforated aluminum sheet seat and tubular aluminum backrest. A bold material contrast that gives the piece genuine character, warmth meeting color in equal measure.
Fermob spent real time dialing in the backrest angle and seat depth here, and it shows: this is an armchair built for actually sitting in, not just looking at. The cushion does the rest. Removable covers in solution-dyed acrylic Sunbrella® fabric treated against stains, mold, tears, and abrasion that are tone-matched to the frame color for a cohesive, considered finish that works as comfortably indoors as it does on a terrace.
Teak is sourced from government-controlled Indonesian plantations under a certified reforestation program, naturally resistant to outdoor decay without additional treatment.
