The Fermob Luxembourg Low Armchair has a history that most outdoor furniture can only aspire to. It first appeared along the pathways of the Jardin du Luxembourg in the 1920s, made in the Parisian workshops that supplied Paris's public parks. Decades passed, styles changed, and yet the design endured. In the 1990s, at the direct request of the Jardin du Luxembourg, Fermob began manufacturing it once again. Frédéric Sofia later reinterpreted the broader collection in 2004, but the Low Armchair's lineage runs deeper than the rest.
Today it offers everything its origins promised and more: a tubular aluminum frame with curved slat seat, backrest, and armrests that settle into a low, relaxed posture, silencing pads for quiet movement on any surface, and a stacking capacity of six for practical storage. Light enough to move from one end of the garden to the other without a second thought, and designed to work with the Low Armchair Headrest and Basics or Color Mix cushions for a complete lounge corner.
