Willow Green

This refreshing color recalls nature itself as the shade of willow trees and the fruit of the olive tree. In fact, the olive inspired this color in Middle England around 1150 - 1500.

Pastels came much later as the art medium began to boom in the 18th century with the Rococo era—known for its elaborate, organic decoration. Its popularity continued in fashion and interior design with renewed interest in the 50’s, 80’s and again just recently.
